Brock is a student of Journalism and History at Carleton University in Ottawa, ON. He is originally from Unionville, ON, about a half-hour north of downtown T.O., and will always be a Torontonian at heart.
Brock never really had too many professional sports-related ambitions as kid. Realizing he wasn’t big enough, fast enough, or skilled enough to make it to the big show in hockey (think of Averman in Disney’s The Mighty Ducks), Brock spent his childhood days poring over the Tuesday stats reports in the sports section of the Toronto Star. He would parade around his house, yelling things like: “Mom, do you know who is leading the Leafs in plus/minus this season!?” He would typically get a response such as this: “No honey. Now go upstairs and get ready. You are NOT going to be late for school again because of those stupid stats!”
Aside from a love of hockey, Brock is also a soccer fanatic. He is a supporter of the English Premier League’s Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, as well as Toronto’s home team in the MLS, Toronto FC.
These days, Brock is hoping that all those years of paying scrupulous attention to stats as a kid will pay off – either as a journalist or in the historical field.
And although Brock has tried to become a little more professional with his work, he still possesses the same desire he had as a little kid – hoping you, the reader, will have the time to pay attention to what he has to say about Toronto sports.

Originally from Toronto, Heather currently lives in Ottawa while majoring in Communications and minoring in English at Carleton University.
She started playing hockey at age eight, after watching her brother play every weekend for two years. In short, she just wanted to be like the boys. She grew up in a household with a father who cheered for the Habs, and a brother who cheered for the Sens (who knew it was possible?), however has stuck with her team through think and, inevitably, thin.
One day Heather hopes to be a sports broadcaster a la Jennifer Hedger, but failing that hopes to be running a professional sports team’s PR department.
Heather also runs a personal blog, which can be accessed through the blogroll on the main page.

Matt is currently in his third year studying Journalism and Communications at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He hails from Etobicoke, a small suburb about 25 minutes west of downtown Toronto.
When he (finally) realized that his own dream of making it as an NHL hockey player wasn’t going to pan out, he became determined to stay involved with what he loved. From there, he combined his love (and moderate skill) of writing with his infatuation with professional sports like hockey, baseball and football. Since Matt was in grade seven, he set his sights on becoming a sports journalist and his original goal was to become the host of SportsCentre, like Darren Dutchyshen.
Matt is currently the play-by-play voice of the Carleton Ravens varsity men’s hockey team. The games are webcast on SSN Canada.
He also runs a personal blog, which can be accessed through the blogroll on the main page.

Sean hails from Georgetown, Ontario, where he still resides. Located in the GTA and not far from the city of Toronto, he grew up watching and idolizing the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday nights.
He has his father to thank for igniting his passion in sports. For as long as he can remember, the two of them have been going to watch the Blue and White play at both Maple Leaf Gardens and the Air Canada Centre, in both regular season and playoff games.
As a youngster Sean played hockey year round, regardless of the season, travelling to the likes of Mississauga and Brampton in the summers for camps and leagues to stay sharp and in shape for when it really counted—the winter. He currently continues to play year round in a men’s league out of Oakville with his brother and friends.
He enjoys watching most, if not all, Maple Leaf games throughout the year. Sean hopes to provide some insight into the game as someone who has an undying passion for hockey and has also played it for many years.
